There were three in the bed and the little one said, “Roll over! Roll over!”

Since today is National Best Friend Day, I thought I’d share this photo of my four legged best friends. I felt so privileged to be included in their rat pile. When I first got the rats, Bailey was scared of me and it took months of hard work to get him to a place where he was comfortable sitting on or near me, so this was incredible! This photo was taken before Bailey had his operation but he’s even more cuddly now. Rats truly are the best pets. I cannot express how much I love these little guys!

We ran out of rat food and our order isn’t arriving until Thursday so I had to make some DIY rat mix. The boys approve!

Bailey is doing well and his wound is healing nicely. We’ve gotten his histology results back and unfortunately he had a very nasty tumour. Luckily, the vet managed to get clean margins when she removed it, although there’s a high chance it’ll recur. At the moment though, Bailey is tumour free and living his best life!
