OMG!! They are amazing photos! Not just of rats (I have two) but overall composition, lighting, clarity.
What equipment do you use? Studio lighting or speed flash?
A light box with background??
I have a D500 and a 16×16 light box so far.

No fancy equipment, just a white shower curtain over my seat and a black cardigan over the back of the chair.
Photos were taken with my iPhone (no flash) and there’s a window to the back left which helped for lighting.
